TPS DREAMERS is a paid program where you can receive college credit for your experience. Participants will gain work experience as well as meet professionals who are available as excellent contacts and mentors. You will be able to apply classroom and textbook knowledge to real life atmospheres.

Tyler Perry Studios is committed to providing a solid learning foundation for TPS DREAMERS. This program allows participants to receive first-hand knowledge of the rewards and challenges of working for a multi-faceted entertainment company.

Participants will learn about TPS’s long and short-term goals and objectives, as well as gain an introductory experience into both the corporate and television production arenas.

Quick Facts

Program Length: 6 weeks (Mid-June through early August)

Application Deadline: May 5th, 11:59PM EST

Location: Tyler Perry Studios (Atlanta, GA)

Time Commitment: At least 16 hrs/week for 6 weeks

Curriculum: Participants will rotate between roles in Production, Studio Operations, Accounting, Development, Post Production, Social/Digital Media, IT, Art/Graphic Design, Legal, Wardrobe… and more.

College Credit: Available with proper documentation

Field Trip: 1 per program

Fireside Chats: Every Friday with TPS Guest Speaker

Payment: $18/hour

Roles & Responsibilities

We are seeking highly-motivated, proactive college students in the industry looking for career experience in a wide variety of fields.

Each candidate should review the following Roles & Responsibilities for each position, to ensure the TPS Dreamers program is a good fit:

Office/ Set Production Assistant

Office PA – Assisting with answering telephones, filing paperwork and data entry, arranging meals and transportation reservation, photocopying, distrubuting production and paperwork general office administration.

Set PA – Acting as a messenger between the AD Department and Production; Maintain the cleanliness of the set, lock down areas and control crew movement during filming; Distributing call sheets, production report, and other paperwork; Assist with coordinating the extras, etc.
